You don't want this to happen when you are working cahier at a fast food restaurant...

This has been something I've wanted to do for a long time, I could see it being part of some kind of Jackass skit seeing as how vulgar and disturbing it is... Picture dressing like a homeless person and walking into a McDicks and plopping down a pile of sticky nickles and dimes on the table...ugh.

In the spirit of Norval Morrisseau

I'm not aboriginal so I take no claims in knowing what I'm doing when it comes to producing this kind of art but since I've seen the works of Norval Morrisseau I've loved the thick paint, vibrant colours and complex (although he does it in such a way that they come off as simple) narratives that the works always seem to empower. I wanted to test my hand at this art form and bellow is how it turned out.

In this stage of creating the piece I have just done the basic outline of what I wanted the picture to show. Using the style of Morrisseau I over exaggerated the features like eyes, over simplified the plants and body features and in general planed out in my head a beautiful spectrum of colours to use on the final product.

At this point what I've done is pretty straight forward. Just thickened the lines and filled in what had to be with black.

So here is how the work ended up. The colours have all been added (even though they were just done with pencil crayon). I began transferring the work to canvas but my skill with a brush is absolutely terrible and so it lays in one of my many unpacked boxes sitting in my room. Anyways for not being an artist I think it turned out quite well.
